At the heart of Dr. Eric Mason’s life is his family. He and his wife, Yvette, have been married for almost 30 years, and together they are raising their four children—three sons, Immanuel, Nehemiah, and Ephraim, and a daughter, Amalyah. Family is central to Dr. Mason's ministry, and he is deeply committed to guiding his children to live with love, grace, and a strong foundation in the gospel. This commitment to family extends to his broader calling, where he shepherds others with the same care and intention, equipping them to grow in faith and biblical understanding.

Dr. Mason is the founder and senior pastor of Epiphany Fellowship in Philadelphia, where he leads a mission to holistically engage urban communities with the transformative power of the gospel. With over three decades in ministry, Dr. Mason is known for his global ministry, commitment to biblical justice, and theological depth and precision.  Dr. Mason has a passion for biblical literacy, believing that deep understanding of Scripture is essential for spiritual growth and community impact. His heart to see biblical literacy flourish in the church drives much of his teaching and leadership.

A leading voice in urban apologetics, Dr. Mason addresses pressing cultural, societal, and theological issues through a biblical lens. His work empowers individuals to live out their faith practically and confidently in their everyday lives. He is the author of several critically acclaimed books, including Urban Apologetics and Woke Church, which challenge the church to address social justice, black identity, and the church's role in promoting biblical justice.

Dr. Mason earned his Master of Theology (Th.M.) degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, where his deep theological foundation was established. Upon completion of seminary, he was ordained into the gospel ministry by the council of elders at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, with Dr. Tony Evans at the council's helm (May 2000). In May 2007, Dr. Mason earned his Doctoral (D.Min.) degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Beyond his pastoral role, Dr. Mason leads initiatives like the Thriving Network, which provides resources for urban leaders, and the Remnant Cohort, where he mentors pastors and leaders. He also hosts The Sanctuary Podcast, where he explores faith, culture, and theology through deep, engaging conversations.
